【Event Preview】Understand Your Inner Self in 57 Seconds: How Sandplay Becomes a Silent Psychological Dialogue

In this efficiency-driven age, we are used to explaining everything with language and analysing problems with logic. But have you ever experienced having something to say in your heart yet being unable to express it clearly? Or wanting to change consciously while your body honestly resists?
Sandplay is precisely a healing approach that bypasses language barriers and reaches the heart directly.
What is sandplay?
Sandplay Therapy originated with Swiss psychologist 朵拉·卡爾夫 and combines Jungian psychology with Eastern philosophy. Participants freely arrange miniature models in a long box filled with fine sand, creating a unique scene.
This process requires no explanations and no “right answer”. The choices made by the hands, the placement of models and the arrangement of space allow the subconscious to emerge naturally through these non-verbal messages.
Why choose a non-verbal approach?
Many emotions and memories are stored in places language cannot reach. For the following groups in particular, traditional talk-based approaches may have limited effect:
Children: their vocabulary is not yet fully developed, making it difficult to describe feelings precisely
Parents of children with ADHD: living under long-term high pressure and accustomed to suppressing emotions
High-functioning adults: too accustomed to wrapping themselves in rationality and consequently becoming detached from their true feelings
Entrepreneurs and managers: required to make quick decisions every day and rarely have the opportunity to slow down and listen inwardly
Sandplay provides a safe transitional space. Here, you do not need to rush to organise your thoughts or worry about saying the wrong thing. Simply focus on the present, let your hands guide your heart and let your heart reveal itself through the sand tray.
What can sandplay bring?
Deep emotional release: release feelings suppressed over a long period
Stress relief: switch from a mode of “doing” to a mode of “being”
Self-understanding: see habitual behaviour patterns and inner needs
Relationship insight: understand the dynamics of interpersonal interaction through the sandplay scene
