🎁 Contributing Love and Care | Fortune Bag Action P2 Review

Action: Distributing 700 fortune bags to elderly people in the district
Purpose: Contributing love and care, and sharing warmth and support

Following the successful completion of the fortune bag action in Tai Po in March, Child Cares Foundation took action again. On 24 July, we came to Tsui Wan Estate in Chai Wan to hold the second “Contributing Love and Care: Fortune Bag Action P2”, bringing a little care and warmth in midsummer to elderly people in need in the district.

Early that morning, volunteers wearing purple theme T-shirts worked together to carry, organise and distribute 700 fortune bags filled with daily necessities and epidemic-prevention supplies, carefully guiding the elderly to collect them in an orderly manner. The entire activity was orderly, warm and moving.

Many elderly people said that this action made them feel the community’s regard and care for older people, which was especially precious during the pandemic. What the activity embodied was a collective strength coming from the community and from everyone.

We believe that every fortune bag is not only material support, but also a carrier of care. Thank you to all the volunteers and sponsors for their support. We will continue this “love and care” so that more people can feel the warmth of the community ❤️
