🐚 Pearl Family Fun | Activity Review

Activity objective: Understand the importance of sustainable development and marine conservation through an in-depth pearl-farming experience

Allowing children to learn to care for the environment and marine ecology through first-hand experience was the greatest significance of “Pearl Family Fun”.

On 19 October 2019, we led several families in a pearl-farming experience, helping everyone understand how pearls grow and the sustainable-development and environmental-protection ideas behind them. During the activity, the children learned not only about pearls, but also about the preciousness and fragility of nature.

The children held pearl souvenirs they had made themselves, their faces full of excitement and a sense of achievement. Parents also said that the activity was not only educational and entertaining, but also helped children develop a sense of responsibility towards the environment through play.

Through this activity, we hoped to plant a seed of “caring for nature and respecting life”, enabling more families to contribute to marine conservation and sustainable development.

Thank you to all the participating families and volunteers for making this Pearl Family Fun event a success. In the future, we will continue to organise more meaningful parent-child activities that let love and environmental protection move forward together 💚
